100 Days of Running ~ Reviews and Giveaways ~ Third Times the Charm

Saturday morning mega humid run 6.64 miles
I was so hungry all day!

Yesterday after having driven down to VA Friday evening, I was still feeling the effects of LBM's disrupted schedule and ended up sleeping from 7 a.m. until almost 9 a.m.
Since LBM didn't sleep much during the night.  Ugh!
But I was determined to get some miles in before we started our day.  I didn't want my run weighing on my mind, keeping me from enjoying the day.

So while everyone else still slept I peeled off my CEP Compression socks which I have been sleeping in nearly every night since the Ultra and I hit the road.
Right away I know it was going to be a hard one because I had to return to the house to re-visit the bathroom.
GI issues.
Not something that usually attacks me a lot BUT in my part of VA there are very few opportunities to duck into a corn field.  So I grab my water bottle again and headed back out the door for my 8 - 9 miles.
After the .35 mile to the "main" road I knew that the humidity was going to cut this run short.
I did enjoy ducking into a garage sale during my run but that aside it was a mental game of struggling through how hot it was.
The one thing that wasn't having a hard time; my legs.
Even since starting the Legs Love Lunges Challenge my CEP Compression socks have kept my legs feeling great!
No more cramps in my legs, no more fatigue after my runs.   I didn't start wearing my socks until after the Ultra but I know that I would have benefited from using them much sooner.  I didn't need to run a race to feel the quick recovery that these socks help provide.
After even my short run days, I slip into the Hot Pink socks and feel ready for the next day.

We enjoyed some entertainment on the walking mall in Charlottesville

I contact CEP Compression  to tell them just what a difference they have made in my running and recovery.  The wonderful folks at CEP
Compression  have offered to give one of you the opportunity to have the same great tool to help you enhance your running and recovery.

What they say about CEP  Compression:

CEP Running Socks

Achilles Tendon Support: Additional support of the Achilles tendon protects and prevents irritable tendons.

Padded Foot Soles: The special support of the foot sole prevents irritations caused by pressure spots.

Ventilation Channels: For a pleasant foot climate.

3-D Fit: The socks adjust to the anatomy of the leg and foot for a perfect fit thanks to the three-dimensional manufacturing process.

  2. I am not in the streak...mostly due to the fact that with swimming and biking, I would be lying if I said I even thought I could run every day!!

But good luck to those in it!

  8. It looks like CEP compression socks could really help with my calf cramps that I've had. Not full out cramps, but it is always there hurting and if I move just the right way I know I'll be in pain. Compression could really help. I love their pink ones, but wearing colored socks sort of freaks me out so white is the color to go with.

  14. I love CEP compression socks! I wear them to bed at night after every run and it makes a huge difference! I am not sore when I get up in the morning even after long runs!

I watched the video they have of how to get them on fast and I still think it would be hard to get them on from just getting out of the water :)

  34. I MUST win these socks!! :-)
What I learned from their website is that these socks specifically help with achilles tendonities, which I've been struggling with for what seems like forever!

    ReplyDelete
  35. I have been looking at these socks forever. I like that they help with muscle fatigue. I have some calf cramping and these may help me.

    ReplyDelete
  36. The circulation benefits are incredible- its so strange to me that they have been using similar "stockings" for health benefits and post op patients for YEARS but we are just now hopping on that as runners!
I would love a black pair to go with the 20 pairs of black shorts I own :)

  37. I love compression socks. I can tell when I have versus haven't worn them the day after a hard run. The increased circulation helps my legs "get back to normal" so much faster. I have on pair of CEP compression sleeves and wear them to bed after most runs. I would love a pair of socks!

  43. I'm a follower. And while we're talking about THAT, why is it that you're not letting people know when you're in VA? Seriously, C'ville is awesome. And not that far from me. If you were, say, scheduled to run something like a pesky 20 miler, we could meet in Oilville and run together.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I thought the "how to put on your sock" video was totally awesome. Have you ever tried to put on compression socks while standing? Not a plan.
