The Last Day. The First Day.

This morning was the last time S'ghetti Girl will get on the bus and head of to her elementary school.  It was made extra special because this year the last day fell on her birthday.

She had her best friend sleep over.  They were a little blurry eyed but excited to start the last day of elementary as I began my first day as a stay at home mom.

At times I think it is just too many changes so close together.  Then other times I think it is the most exciting time in my family's life!

After getting up early to bake cookies to take in for her class and then spending 3 1/2 hours at the garage getting the car worked on, I will pick her up at school with her two best friends to head off to yet another birthday celebration and sleep over.
Her last day and my first day in what looks to be an exciting chapter in our adventure!

Five more sleeps until Laurel Highlands 70.

  2. My son is finishing elementary school this week also. I am going to be a blubbering mess at his "transition" ceremony. he's kind of dreading that!

Good luck with the many changes in your life.

  4. Enjoy your new "job" (and it is a job--why do so many people act as if it isn't??) as SAHM/SAHR. Ch-ch-changes, as David Bowie once sang (remember that, or are you too young?).
Hope you have a great summer.
P.S. Your daughter is gonna break some hearts in a few years.
