Seriously.
Did you actually think that at my age I'd be announcing a new baby?
You guys are too funny!!
Anywho, she arrives today at ...sometime between 11 - 3. Delivery companies have the best business practices. I would have loved being able to say to my boss that I'll be there somewhere between 8 - 11. Anyway, it's kinda like Christmas around here today. In the sense that I have this huge exciting new toy coming and just like a kids at Christmas who rips open their presents and then has to rush off to the relatives houses, I will have to wait - about 2 weeks - before I'll ever get to use it.
I want it NOW!
That's like the worse torture ever for a runner who doesn't mind running on a mill. I frankly loooove knowing that I have no excuse when it comes to running each day. I already love her. Knowing that when the super secret spy has to travel, I won't have to stress over taking LBM out in the jogger if the weather is too wintry for him. Our new addition will be such a blessing.
She doesn't have a name. Since she will be discuss at length in the blog I should call her something.
Any ideas?
I fell for it! Dummy me. But excited about your new "baby" just the same!
ReplyDeleteI guess I should be flattered that so many people think I am young enough to still be having babies. ;-) At this one addition won't mean changing anymore diapers.
DeleteI kinda fell for it too!
ReplyDeleteI though you signed up for some crazy multi day race... I certainly think like a runner! I've never run on a treadmill.
ReplyDeleteWell I am oh'ing and ah'ing over your new "baby" like some may over a human one! I can't wait to hear what you think and for a name....I am kinda clueless because the only thought in my mind right now is "LOVE"!
ReplyDeleteI am so happy for you!
OK...seriously. You had me going and I thought you were NUTZ! :) Hee, hee. Twila the Treadmill. Or Talula. :) I like girl names.
ReplyDeleteHA!! You got me! A new treadmill (or any new equipment) is FUN!!! Not sure about the name. I name all of my things too...usually mine names come from the feeling I get from them. I named our rowing machine "Killer".
ReplyDeleteName her Zippie :) Just found your blog and pretty sure I'll be back many times to read. I love how many 50K's you have run. I'm just getting into this "ultra" thing!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great thing to have! I haven't got a treadmill, but secretly I would love to get one. I would call her Friendster.

That was a good one! I was fished in too....
ReplyDeleteOh, inspired by another reader's comment: Fifty, since it's a key distance for many of your races. But you'd need to pronounce it "Fitty," like the rapper Fifty Cent, to reflect the BAMR nature of your running :)
ReplyDeleteThere is really only one name proper for your Tmill.
ReplyDeleteMilly, it's kinda silly, but its gotta be Milly!
The great thing about a name like Milly is it gives you greater flexibility name wise according to how you may feel, Milly, short for Treadmill, proper name can also be used as in Mildred, or Millie if you like.
DeleteI like Milly also...
