Dana - Bummer we did't bump into each other sooner. I am doing a 1/2 tomorrow. You are training for March. Where is your half at?
I started running marathons after a leap from 10ks. I was a trainer at several gyms a lifetime ago and always loved running and being outdoors. My husband bragged about running a marathon on little training at 17...3:26 he says his time was (it has not been confirmed!) heehee I liked the idea of longer distances. I was already running 13 - 15 miles a day just because I loved it so the jump to marathoning was easy. The marathon was not. But after completing that first one (my second fastest time to date) I was hooked. This past year I have really tired to get in a lot of other distances so when my 2nd marathon for this fall sold out I decided to try this half. I am so excited. I just got back from a short easy run in the snow to get loosened up and get a feel for the footing in the snow (since I will be running in it tomorrow). It was great. I can not wait to run 13 miles in it. I hope it is still snowing for the race. That would be beautiful. How did you get started running?
He is adorable! How did you start doing marathons? I really want to do a 1/2.
