LBM does not yet sleep very well through the night at the VA house so at 4:30 found myself awake. Having only slept for 4 hours I did what any normal person would do, I turned off the alarm.
Hubbs does not like to wake with the sun so all the blinds are closed at the VA house and I slept until well past time to go run!
We had carpet cleaners coming at 9 and I wanted to have breakfast over and leaned up before they arrive so still no run.
I just didn't want to run. Okay I said it out loud. Maybe it was the dreary weather. Maybe it was the 96 earlier days of running catching up with me but I simply did not want to run.
But I did. Hubbs helped shoo me out the door. I was so glad I got out here! Once I started I still was eager to rejoin the family for activities we had planned but I felt great! My miles flew by. Without the stroller I really pushed and tried to hold a steady strong pace.
Success! Day #97 - 8.5 miles to end my week with 51.5.
I just didn't wanna give up on the promises I have made to myself.

You're amazing! Way to get out there. :)
ReplyDeleteNice job getting out on that run, despite not being mentally in the game. I know it's hard somedays but you're so strong and such an inspiration. I MUST get my act together and get busy again (though I can't run right now, I can do SOMETHING, right??) (hugs)
