Daily Chatter

OMGosh!

Guys be warned.
Everyone I promise to return to the normal running, life, family chatter you are used to reading but this I just had to share!

I know that I live in a town with more cows than people.  I realize that I haven't seen very much of our great big world but (taking a page from SUAR) this one was new to me.

With all the talk about Aunt Flo and dealing with such female issues while running and racing, I wasn't surprised to see the girls at Run Like a Mother  talking about the same issue on their TMI Tuesday.
Where my education came in was the comments...

And the DivaCup HERE

As a runner and a woman, I'm not sure if I think this is genius or gross.
You decide.

  1. I have never used a Diva Cup because it just seems gross, but I have more than 1 friend who swear by them. They say once you get over the idea of it, it is so much better than pads/tampons etc.

  2. I'm intrigued! Never used one, never heard of one until SUAR, but it can't be too much more gross than a tampon, can it??

  3. Is it naive to say that I need more information???? Hee, hee. I feel like I need a demo to see how it works. Sorry....gross, I know. Does the cup go up? Down? That the heck? I'm intrigued, but not convinced.

  4. I've been using Diva Cup for several years now and I would never go back to pads or tampons. It worked great for me on my 3 week backpacking trip in the Sierras too.

  5. Coming from the environmental side....seems good. Haven't tried it but feel I have to try it before I finally make a verdict. However, it can't be grosser than disposable baby diapers and that mess or tampons. Really, aren't they kind of gross in their own way?

  6. I've never seen or heard about them before and my initial reaction is yuk. But my intellectual side says it's just like a user friendly - probably a little messier - reusable tampon.

  7. Best thing ever. Used it for years. :) Never, ever going back to the 'other' side.
