Today I did something I haven't done for a while.
NOT run.
I have a very good reason for not giving any of my time today to my fitness; we were signing our names about four dozen times. I am certain that counts as crossing training for my 3 Changes Challenge!
Before Hubbs had the courage to sign it all he had to visit his favorite watering hole.
Dunkin Donuts.
Yes. My hubbs would rather have a DD coffee than a beer anyday.
After the exhausting crossing training session closing we grabbed a quick lunch at Lord Hardwicke's. It is a nice sandwich kind of place. The weather was so nice we ate outside.
Then we went back to the new house for hubbs to drop off some things and I had to drive back to PA to get the kiddos at my sister's house. She and her husband were kind enough to pick up the kids at the sitter since I was not going to make it back in time.
Thanks sis!
It was an exhausting day. Just exhausting in a different kind of way.
3 Changes Challenge
April 29th - Thursday (Closing Day - Driving 8+ hours)
1. h2o/non-caffeinated - 55oz- Needs Improvement (yes I could just go drink the needed water but that is not what I am trying to do. I am trying to make it a habit to drink throughout my day)
2. Destress - Prayer Habit - Check! I took some amazing roads to get to our loan closing today. I saw some beautiful country! Then with the stress of traveling all day, I was smiling and happy. - Success
3. Xtrain - Up at 5 a.m. to get ready. Signed my name 4 dozen times. Not back until 7 p.m.. Unload, supper, homework, baths, cleanup and bed - Needs Improvement
OK Shelly I am going to sound like a broken record . . . How in the world do you do it all?
ReplyDeleteIt looks like this house has a pond and another beautiful view. How exciting.
So what state are you living in now and where are you moving to? Is it the same kind of area with lots of wide open spaces? If its the area pictured above it looks amazing!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!
I think it's great you run every day. I think I'd get burnt out. I need some rest and some other form of exercise.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the house closing. That's got to be so exciting. I know I can't wait for that day for us. It'll be a loooooong time yet but someday (hopefully).
What a big day...CONGRATS!!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats!!! Sounds like a great reason for some much needed REST. Maybe you can run a TRIPLE tomorrow, huh?!?! :-)
ReplyDeleteYou had some pretty good reasons for not running - and you deserve to rest every now and then. I know you'll make it up somehow.
ReplyDeleteCongrats! I think you deserved not to run today... ;)
ReplyDeleteyeahhhh!!! Does that mean your move is official? It is a great area I think you will love the people! I am actually headed there today, let me know if you need any help finding anything, you will be smack in the middle of me and TMB! I love the barracks road area (where lord hardwicks is) but next time your in town go to BODOS!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a busy day! I'm sure it's a relief to be done.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a nice day!! Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteIf there is a reason for you to miss a run you hit it right on the head! Congrats on signing on your house.
ReplyDeleteYum, Lord Hardwicke's! I haven't been there in years, but enjoyed it when we used to go to c'ville more often.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you guys have found a lovely place!
I have to agree with your hubby. I would take DD over beer any day. In fact, I'm having a DD coffee right now!
ReplyDeleteSo excited for your move! Can't wait until we get the chance to meet up!
Is that the view from your house??? It's gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteI like beer AND donuts. :)
