We had an unexpected suprise last night. Hubbs got home! Although he had appointments to take care of we were all happy to get a little extra time with him.
Bug-man (littlest) and I went to a quick 6.5 mile loop (52:11) hoping that hubbs would be able to get a little rest since he is working nights right now but when we returned he had not been able to fall back to sleep and he had to leave for an appointment.
The kids and I tried to get a new spring header photo taken but the camera (or my photographer) kept focusing on the lovely yellow traffic sign instead of little Bug-man and I.
For your entertainment, here are a few failed photos.
Oh! You noticed that I am AGAIN in my redish pink One More Mile Kick Assphalt shirt and capris with my bondi bond over my visor. That's right I get stuck on an outfit and wear it to death!
In fact this morning I got a solo run of 3.5 miles (27:22) and I wore the exact same thing!
Here is the gross truth. Prepare yourself.
Since I run so many doubles I often wear the same outfit in the evening that I wore in the morning.
Okay. Get over it.
You would think that I would have amassed a huge supply of running outfit.
Not.
I tend to be so entrenched in my routines that it carries over into what I wear.
But I am trying to change.
TMB @ Racing with Babes showered some bloggy love on little ole' me this morning! She inspires me to want to care more about how I look while I am out there sweating up a river.
When I grow up I want to look just like her...neon and all!
Thanks TMB!
I get to share the love with five wonderfully inspiring bloggies.
Even with my ALL my running clothes, I have been know to teach a class in the morning and wear the same thing for a run that night. It happens to the best of us!
ReplyDeleteYay for the hubs coming home!! Haha I wear the same thing ALL the time. Working out or not :)
ReplyDeleteSpike does that, he just hang dries his stuff. I let it sit in a pile and stink until I do laundry over the weekends! LOL! Just Febreeze it and you're fine! :)
ReplyDeleteI do not have official running clothes! I still wear whatever :) Have a great night!!
ReplyDelete:) I love running clothes! Especially Nike tempo shorts! :) great run!
ReplyDeleteYou are probably in pretty good company around the blogosphere, I would bet!
ReplyDeleteSo glad your hubby got home!!!
ReplyDeleteI am so guilty!! I actually wore the same outfit yesterday for both runs. Plus, I sweat like a man, so they smelled real soupy. It totally grosses hubby out! I do need to invest in some more running clothes....
Love the failed photos! Glad hubs is home!
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, I'll wear the same couple of sports bras and shorts all week - that's if they've dried out enough by the next time!!! Yes, gross but the ugly truth!!! Tee hee!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the award, you deserve it :)
I'm so glad I'm not the only one. I see Katie A is like me. I don't think you're gross at all. I tend to wear the same sports bra & shorts for most of the week. I would with shirts but I have plenty of those. I only have about 1-3 sports bras so I'm limited.
ReplyDeleteI only have a few pairs of shorts I like, so I wear those over and over until I'm doing laundry.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the award! I miss high heels LOL.
You are not alone in the gross-ness! Otherwise we'd be doing laundry 24/7... which I'm sure you already are because of the kiddos!
ReplyDeleteI have, essentially, 5 running outfits that I wear all the time. I even tend to wear the same outfits for specific runs -- ie, a specific pair of shorts for long runs, always.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the bloggy award! So thoughtful of you!
I personally don't care that you sweat twice into each outfit. I can't smell you and you're helping save the planet by not washing as much.
ReplyDeleteBTW - Thanks for the bloggy love.
I only have 2 outfits and one I just bought 2 days ago! Cute pics of you guys running!
ReplyDeleteI hate laundry sooo much everything has at least a few wears in it! Right except maybe sweaty underwear!!
ReplyDeleteYay, for extra time with hubby. Mine came home for 2 unexpected days this week too. I love when that happens. Not sure about the clothes, yes, I have done it, but I am a stinky sweater so most of the time I start out fresh, if I have a 2 a day. But of course there are some days when I am in my running clothes all day long, sweaty or not.
ReplyDeleteCute pics! :) Now I don't feel so bad about the times I have dug a sports bra out of the dirty laundry pile. :)
ReplyDeleteWow, thanks for the recognition.
ReplyDeleteI have to change my clothes for every run; that's just me and my A-type personality. However, we are Mom's and, if it isn't covered in spit, drool, or food (baby food or remnants from a loving hug after dinner), it's clean enough to wear. So, what's a bit - or lot - of sweat?
I'm right there with you. I'm low on running supplies and as long as it's my own sweat I might as well get another run in if I can. We can be stinky together :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know why I never came to your blog before. Weird! I feel like maybe I didn't find it last time I looked! Your little guy is so cute!! :) Thanks for the last comment about the stroller!
ReplyDeleteI do the same thing, I mean, you're going to sweat no matter what so who cares? Great run!
