I Must Sparkle

It's true.  I must Sparkle because my world has been full of so many amazing things lately.
I bet I can even control my eyebrow too.

This past Saturday I was so happy to be able to be a part of the Run for Sherry.  This run always reminds me that I am a part of such a bigger community than I often realize as I go about my day.  The chance to join together to celebrate a fellow runner and embrace the power that being able to run gives me are things that add sparkle to my life.

By mid-week I didn't even realize I needed a sparkle recharge but I got a huge one when I got the text from my Oldest that I had become a grammy.  Days are to precious to wish away but I must admit I am very eager to be able to hold this little person.

My training run this Saturday will have to wait.
Could you say no to this sweet face?

Then this morning...you know, Valentine's Day, I see this amazing little rock

It does not take much to make me happy.  More Sparkle!

Still blinding others with my over abundance of sparkle I didn't expect anything but a normal Thursday evening run when I was getting ready to get my sweat on.  But things were just going my way because a quick check of my email before my run had me literally jumping up and down.
That counts as cross training, right?  Totally counts.

I mean I've been saying forever that I am a poster child for YMX.  Just look at this YMX covered blog but for it to actually happen has me on top of the world!

I can not wait to see what amazing things tomorrow brings!

A 4 Minute Head Start

Last night we had soccer practice.  Can you tell?  S'ghetti is wearing a skirt.  Even my daughter has a "running skirt" I need one too!  Not only do I need a running skirt to keep up with my daughter, I also need one because I am registered to run a Catch Me If You Can 10 miler May 1st in Maryland.  If I wear a running skirt I get a 4 minute head start!
Money is tight so I may have to start accepting donations.

3 Changes Challenge

April 20th - Tuesday

1. h2o/non-caffeinated - 64oz- Success

2. Destress - I didn't try and run errands during soccer practice, I enjoyed just talking with the other parents (not complaining about things just chatting); I prayed today which is becoming a much needed daily habit! - Success

3. Xtrain - Aside from walking at soccer practice while I talked with one of the moms, zero cross training today but I am aiming for 2 days a week so there is still hope - Needs improvement

Electronic Lojack

You might not believe me but my son was born with Electronic Lojack.
It's true.
From the time he was able to pull himself along - low crawl style - he has been able to locate any and all unattended electronic devices.
Remote controls, cell phones, key fobs, cordless phones, computers, DSi, game controllers.
Nothing was safe.

This is what happens when you leave a 18 month old Electronic Lojacked toddler alone for 1 minute.  I am certain that had I not intervened he would have created some technology advancing code in no time.
However since the risk that those advances would have come at the price of destroying Daddy's laptop, the choice was made to stop he frantic code entering efforts.

But true to form as the savant I just know he must be, moments later while Mommy was distracted with mountains of laundry, he was right back at it attempting to make ground breaking progress in software applications to better all mankind!

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

I just HAD to share this...

I have to admit that the following greeting is not from my mind but from the often funny frequently odd mind of a friend of my hubbs.  His name is Allen and this is how he wished us a "Merry Christmas and Happy New Year."  prepare to laugh

Best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non-addictive, gender neutral, winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most joyous traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, but with respect for the religious persuasion of others who choose to practice their own religion as well as those who choose not to practice a religion at all;

Additionally, a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling, and medically uncomplicated recognition of the generally accepted calendar year 2010, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions have helped make our society great, without regard to the race, creed, color, religious, or sexual preferences of the wishes.

(Disclaimer: This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for her/himself or others and no responsibility for any unintended emotional stress these greetings may bring to those not caught up in the holiday spirit.)

-Allen

Be Happy!
